5 Reasons to Revamp your Lamp

If you have been following us on social media and reading our blogs, you will know that we are big fans of revamping your existing lamp. We have started the #lamprevamprevolution. In case you are not yet convinced, we have come up with a list of the Top 5 reasons you should revamp your lamp:

1. It's good for the environment

This one is a no brainer. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Reusing your lamp (or anything) is good for the environment. We can even make the shade using eco-friendly fabric to make it even more environmentally friendly. Go one step further and use an LED bulb and you have a beautiful, energy efficient lamp.

2. Costs less

Lamps can be expensive, and a lot of the cost of the lamp is in the base. So if you have a perfectly good base, why fork out your hard earned cash when you don't need to! Invest it instead in a statement shade.

3. It's good for your mind, body and soul

Is your old lamp shoved in the storage cupboard? Or out in the shed collecting dust? There are countless articles about how de-cluttering will de-stress your life. Take it out of the shed where it is serving no purpose but taking up space and into a nice spot in your living room or bedroom where it will create some zen due to its beauty and soft emitting light. Try a gold interior for a super stylish soft glow.

4. The gift that keeps on giving

Was the lamp a gift? Are you holding onto it because it has special memories? Did you inherit it from Nana? You don't have to let it go. Just give it some TLC and it will continue to bring back happy memories and create new ones.

5. Collaborative Consumption

If you don't want it, maybe someone else does. So why don't you donate it to the local charity shop or post it on ziilch.com or ebay and find a new home for it. One mans trash is another mans treasure so maybe someone else will revamp it.
